Dr. Wightman joined 1220 Capital Management as a Partner in 2025.

As Director of Capital Development, he is responsible for growing and developing the firm’s capital and investor relationships. Dr. Wightman also brings a unique perspective to a financial firm: formally trained as a dentist, he maintains a part-time practice performing surgical dentistry for patients in underserved geographical regions.

Dr. Wightman graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery. He has practiced dentistry in the state of Alaska and the Iron Range of Northern Minnesota, among other locations.
