Dr. Wightman joined 1220 Capital Management as a Partner in 2025.

As Director of Capital Development, he is responsible for growing and developing the firm’s capital and investor relationships. Dr. Wightman also brings a unique perspective to a financial firm: formally trained as a dentist, he maintains a part-time practice performing surgical dentistry for patients in underserved geographical regions. This background provides Dr. Wightman with unique insight into the inner workings of the healthcare sector.

Dr. Wightman graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery. He has practiced dentistry in the state of Alaska and the Iron Range of Northern Minnesota, among other locations.
